One of the members of the E-BoP team, Catharina Lopes Scodro, successfully defended her PhD thesis on 29 October 2026. Her PhD thesis is titled “Ain’t I a Domestic Worker? The Role of Law and Au Pairs’ Experiences in France and Ireland” and the manuscript will be available in open access soon.
The jury was composed by Adelle Blackett (McGill University), Michael Doherty (University of Maynooth), Rafael Encinas de Muñagorri (Nantes Université), Linxin He (Université de Strasbourg), Vera Pavlou (University of Glasgow), and Marco Rocca (CNRS – Université de Strasbourg) our PI and the supervisor of Catharina’s PhD thesis.
The rest of the E-BoP team extends its warmest congratulations to Catharina. As for our colleague Audrey Deverson before her, Catharina finished her thesis in advance so she will still be with the E-BoP team for a bit longer.
