On 12-13 October 2023, Catharina Lopes Scodro had the opportunity to present her PhD work in the 2023 Graduate Student Symposium: Critical Conversations in Work and Labour, organised by the Global Labour Research Centre at York University (Canada). The Symposium was held online and included researchers coming from different backgrounds, thus promoting an interdisciplinary discussion.
Catharina participated to the panel Gender and Labour, where she presented the results of her Systematic Literature Review on au pairing. The focus of the paper was to identify the conceptions of au pairing presented in the literature, in order to organise them into categories on the basis of the way in which the phenomenon was (mainly) conceptualised by the given scientific contribution.
