On 28 October 2025 the E-BoP team was at the International Labor Organization in Geneva to present our preliminary findings in a hybrid seminar entitled Temporary Labour Migration in Europe.
We presented four contributions which drew on the mix of empirical legal, comparative, and economic perspectives, which characterises our project:
- Marco Rocca, “Spatiotemporal scales and the identification of temporary labour migrants: insights from a systematic analysis of EU law”
- Catharina Lopes Scodro, “Migrant domestic work in France and Ireland: An investigation of au pairs’ models of regulation and challenges in view of ILO Convention No. 189”
- Audrey Deverson, “The role of the ILO Conventions in the social protection of temporary migrant workers in France and Spain”
- Daniel Elanga Mendogo, “Trade and Labour Market consequences of the EU’s 2018 Posting of Workers Reform: Descriptive Evidence”
The full recording of the event is now available on the ILO website.
We are grateful to the ILO, and notably to Dr. Fabiola Mieres, for the kind invitation and great organisation of the event. We also enjoyed the discussion and wish to thank all the colleagues who found the time in their busy agendas to attend the seminar, be it in person or online.
