On 9 April 2025, Marco Rocca, Audrey Deverson, and Catharina Lopes Scodro participated in the seminar “On the Borders of Migration and Labour Regimes” at Maynooth University (Ireland). The seminar was hosted by the School of Law and Criminology and organised by Professor Clíodhna Murphy (Maynooth University) and Catharina Lopes Scodro, who was hosted by Maynooth University during her fieldwork in Ireland.
The Seminar brought together the “legal side” of the E-BoP team and MU researchers from the School of Law and Criminology, as well as from the Department of Geography. The presentation and the following discussions focused on the specific challenges of temporary labour migration for the enforcement of labour rights, and the functioning of an industrial relations system, touching on relevant sectors such as agriculture, domestic work, and aviation.
